LIVE OAK — The Florida Department of Health in Suwannee and Lafayette counties are looking for input from community members.

The DOH — in partnership with WellFlorida Council, the local health planning council for North Florida — is encouraging members of the community to share their views on health by taking a 10-minute survey.

Survey results, along with research and health-related data, will be used to assess the region’s most pressing health needs.

“This survey is very important to our communities,” Kerry Waldron, DOH administrator for Suwannee and Lafayette, said in a release. “Information obtained concerning the health issues in our communities will be the driving force in developing strategies and objectives for addressing high priority health areas over the next 3-5 years.”

The surveys are available at www.WellFlorida.org by selecting “Survey.” Those who take the survey will be entered to win a $20 gift card.

The information garnered from the surveys and that other research and data will be available in January in the “Lafayette and Suwannee County Community Health Needs Assessment 2018” report. For more information about the survey, call or email Christine Abarca at cabarca@www.wellflorida.org or 352-727-3767.
