The Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Education Home Visiting program (MIECHV) is now available in Marion County. Services are offered through Kids Central, Inc. and managed by WellFlorida Council. Call 352-547-3730 for more information.

MIECHV is a free parenting program with enrollment open to eligible parents and caregivers with infants age 0 to 12 months. The program continues to serve families until the child is 3 years of age. MIECHV believes parents and caregivers are a child’s first and most important teacher. By using the evidence-based model Parents as Teachers, MIECHV supports parents in their work to raise safe, healthy, happy, school-ready children.

The program is available in five other counties in North Central Florida and is managed by Healthy Start of North Central Florida. Counties include:

MIECHV is a federal program implemented in Florida through the Florida Association of Healthy Start Coalitions, Inc. and is funded by a grant from the U. S. Department of Health & Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
