23rd Annual Rural Health Educational Summit
The 23rd Annual Rural Health Educational Summit, hosted by Florida Rural Health Association (FRHA), will be held from Feb. 28 to March 1 at the University of North Florida Adam W. Herbert University Center in Jacksonville, Florida. The Summit aims to educate participants on current rural health issues in Florida, such as drugs, heroin and opioids in rural communities, Medicaid and scope of practice issues, trends in Florida’s physician workforce, oral health, rural transportation and end-of-life decision making. The registration fee of $225 includes a two-day summit access, a 2017 FRHA membership, networking opportunities and meals. The Florida Rural Health Association is a statewide organization of physicians, rural hospitals, health clinics, rural governments, nonprofits, educational institutes and Area Health Education Centers dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and advocating for Florida’s rural residents.
