My involvement with WellFlorida dates back about 10 years. WellFlorida houses the Rural Health Partnership (RHP), a consortium of healthcare providers throughout a large, rural footprint. The RHP members at the time were frustrated about the unmet mental health needs in their communities. The WellFlorida CEO at the time, Edie Orsini, wanted to build understanding and create a stronger healthcare system, so she invited me to join.  It’s been a fantastic forum for building trust, mutual support, and innovative strategies to improving health care in underserved areas. The RHP could not do its work without the infrastructure and support of WellFlorida. I also have benefited from data available through WellFlorida’s needs assessments and participation in wellness, data aggregation, and grant development. I think any health care agency should consider WellFlorida when developing a new healthcare initiative in our communities.

We approached WellFlorida to re-brand our company—a name change was needed due to the consolidation of many facilities in multiple counties of North Central Florida. We’ve worked with WellFlorida for years on a number of programs and the result of whatever tasks WellFlorida performs is always very professional. Our experience in changing from Trenton Medical Center to Palms Medical Group is, and was, without question stress free. Our Branding Committee was kept informed, at times explanations were needed and were received, and a complicated task was accomplished. Palms Medical Group now has a recognizable name, and all branding materials are very professional. WellFlorida staff is helpful and always available to answer questions and offer solutions.

Anita Riels, CEO
Palms Medical Group
