Health Needs Assessments

Health Needs Assessments

WellFlorida has nearly five decades of expertise in conducting professional and objective health needs assessments. WellFlorida’s assessments are customized to meet each client’s purposes and are useful tools for those tasked with community health planning activities. A health needs assessment typically assesses the population’s health status, incorporates the needs and priorities of the population, highlights areas of unmet need and provides a clear set of objectives to work towards meeting those needs. We have conducted health needs assessments for groups large and small—from neighborhoods to statewide projects focusing on a single disease or population. Many of our assessments are multifaceted and utilize approaches such as Center for Disease Control and the National Association of County and City Health Officials’ Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) model.

Hospitals are now required to conduct Community Health Needs Assessments every three years. Learn more…
