WellFlorida News Release

Health Insurance Marketplace Navigators from WellFlorida Council and other local organizations will be providing free enrollment assistance at the Get Covered for the New Year event on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Santa Fe Center for Innovation and Economic Development (CIED), 530 West University Avenue, Gainesville.

Navigators are trained and certified to provide unbiased information on health insurance options available through the Health Insurance Marketplace on Healthcare.gov.

Several area Navigators, including two of whom are fluent in Spanish, will be available to enroll and re-enroll consumers in a Marketplace plan before the Dec. 15 deadline. Consumers who pick and pay for a plan by Dec. 15 will have their health coverage begin on Jan. 1, 2016.

Attendees should either bring or know the Social Security numbers for everyone who will be on their health insurance plan and supporting documentation of household income, such as tax returns and pay stubs.

Walk-ins and RSVPs are both welcome. If you wish to RSVP, please visit GetCoveredAmerica.org and select Connector and search by zip code 32601 (the zip code for the CIED).

For more information, call 352-299-0380 or visit NCFNavigators.org.

WellFlorida Council, the local health council and consultant for health causes for the region, oversees the health Insurance Marketplace Navigator program for 15 counties in North Central Florida.
